NYC-based Lisa Ramey is a multitalented singersongwriter & recording artist whose voice defies categorization. She exudes gritty soul and passion, a funk-meets-r&b vibe that emphatically captures her St. Louis roots.

Growing up in St. Louis, and performing since the age of nine, since moving to New York City, Ramey has fronted a wildly popular funk-soul band (SugarBad), has graced Broadway stages, toured the world as Cirque du Soleil’s Soul Singer in KOOZA, and was invited to audition for Season 16 of NBC’s The Voice. On its season premiere, Lisa joined EGOT and multi-platinum recording artist John Legend’s team and advanced to the Playoff Rounds. Her rendition of “The Weight” by The Band debuted at #64 on Apple Music’s R&B Charts where she trended to a top 25 song within the first 24 hours of its release. She took the stage on the finale to sing in an all-female “super group” of fan favorites from Season 16 and NBC’s Songland requested Ramey cover “Hurt Me”, originally performed by Meghan Trainor.

Since her time on the series, Lisa was named one of Soho House New York’s featured recording artists, headlined the DO|AC’s Atlantic City Boardwalk Summer Series, played a 1000+ capacity amphitheater for a Canadian charity concert, sang at the iconic Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, and in December, headlined alongside Ms. Lauryn Hill at an iHeartRadio-sponsored event.
